Selection Process and Examination Phases/UPSSSC Statistical Officer Recruitment
Stage 1: Preliminary Shortlisting (Based on PET 2025 Score) As this is a Mains exam, the first stage is the UPSSSC PET 2025 exam. Candidates who have already qualified for PET 2025 will be shortlisted for the Mains exam. The shortlisting ratio is typically 15 times the number of vacancies in each category. Meaning, a certain number of candidates (those with the highest PET scores) will be sent an invitation to appear for the Mains Written Examination
Stage 2: Mains Written Examination Shortlisted candidates will have to appear for an online or offline (OMR-based) written examination. This exam is designed to test your subject knowledge, computer aptitude, and general awareness of Uttar Pradesh.
Stage 3: Document Verification (DV) Candidates who successfully qualify for the written exam will be called for the Document Verification process. Here, all original certificates—academic mark sheets, age proof, category certificate, computer diploma, PET scorecard—are carefully verified.
Stage 4: Medical Examination Selected candidates must pass a medical examination to ensure they are medically fit for the job. A final merit list is prepared based on the marks obtained in the Mains Written Examination, subject to successful document verification and medical clearance
