1. Can I apply for BPSC Civil Judge 2026 if I am from Uttar Pradesh / Delhi?
Yes. There is no Bihar domicile requirement for general category eligibility. Candidates from any Indian state can apply. However to claim reservation benefits (SC, ST, EBC, BC, EWS), you must furnish a valid Bihar Domicile Certificate and a Caste Certificate issued in Bihar
2. I have only 2 years of legal practice plus 1 year of Law Clerk in a High Court. Am I eligible?
Yes. Experience as a Law Clerk under a Judge / Judicial Officer is counted. As long as the total period (Advocacy + Law Clerk) is minimum 3 years as of 23 February 2026
3. What is the age relaxation for SC / ST of Bihar?
Upper age limit is 40 years for SC, ST, EBC, BC, EWS categories and also for Unreserved Women candidates
4. Is the Preliminary examination just screening or does it carry marks for final merit?
The Preliminary examination is qualifying in nature. Final merit ranking is based only on the Mains Examination + Interview marks.
