Candidates must possess a Bachelor‘s degree in any discipline from a university recognized by the Government of India or any equivalent qualification recognized as such by the Central Government

Selection Process/RBI Bank Assistant 2026

Phase I:
Preliminary Examination (Prelims): This is the first screening test. It is qualifying in nature. The marks obtained in the Prelims are not counted towards the final merit list. Its sole purpose is to shortlist candidates for the Main exam.
Phase II:
Main Examination (Mains): This is the most critical stage. The marks obtained in the Mains examination are considered for the preparation of the final merit list.
Phase III: Language Proficiency Test (LPT):
 After clearing the Mains, candidates are called for an LPT. This test is to verify your proficiency in the local language of the state you applied for. It is qualifying in nature (you just need to pass it), but failing it will result in disqualification, regardless of your Mains score

Basic Pay:

1.  Can I apply for multiple states/offices?

No, you can apply for only one state/office, and you must be proficient in the local language of that state.

2. What is the number of attempts for the RBI Assistant exam?

The question papers for Numerical Ability, Reasoning, General Awareness, and Computer Knowledge are available in both Hindi and English. The English Language paper will be in English only.

9. What documents are needed for uploading?
