Stage I: Computer-Based Test (INET 2026)

This is the initial screening stage. It is an objective-type online exam conducted across various centers in India

Stage II: Recruitment Phase

1. Physical Fitness Test (PFT):
 This is a qualifying test. You must pass this to move forward
Male:
 1.6 km run in 6 minutes 30 seconds, plus 20 squats, 15 push-ups, and 15 sit-ups
Female:
 1.6 km run in 8 minutes 15 seconds, plus 10 squats, 10 push-ups, and 10 sit-ups
2. Stage II Written Exam:
 A second written test of 50 questions (Class 10 standard) lasting 30 minutes
3. Recruitment Medical Examination (RME): 
A thorough medical check-up to ensure you are fit for service
Special Exemption:
 Candidates holding an NCC ‘C’ Certificate or a Sponsor Certificate (with verified documents uploaded during application) are exempted from Stage I (INET) and are called directly for Stage II

1.  I am a female candidate. Can I apply for the SSR (Medical) post?

No, the SSR (Medical) post is specifically restricted to unmarried male candidates only. However, female candidates are fully eligible to apply for the general Agniveer SSR and MR posts

2.  I am currently in the final year of my diploma. Can I apply?

Yes, you can apply provisionally, but you must be able to produce the final mark sheet and certificate at the time of joining the training, proving you have secured the required 50% aggregate

3.  Is there any age relaxation for SC/ST candidates?

As per the current notifications for these specific batches, no age relaxation has been mentioned. The age limits are strictly defined by the birth date ranges for each batch

4.What happens if I fail the Physical Fitness Test (PFT)?

The PFT is a qualifying test. If you fail to meet the standards (run time, push-ups, etc.), you will be disqualified from the recruitment process and will not proceed to the medical examination.

5. I have a backlog in Class 12. Can I still fill the form?

No. You must have passed the qualifying examination with the required percentage on or before the date of application to be eligible

6. The fee says ₹550 but I was charged ₹649. Why?

The application fee is ₹550 plus 18% GST (Goods and Services Tax), which totals approximately ₹649. This is applicable to all candidates

7.Can I edit my application after submission?

Yes, but only during the official correction window from April 10 to 11, 2026. Make sure to utilize this window if you spot a mistake

8. If I have an NCC ‘C’ certificate, do I need to pay the application fee?

Yes, the application fee is mandatory for all candidates at the time of application, regardless of exemptions from the written exam. The fee is non-refundable

9.  Is the INET exam bilingual?

Yes, the Computer-Based Test for all posts will be conducted in both Hindi and English 

10. After four years, am I guaranteed a pension?

The Agniveer scheme is a non-pensionable scheme. Upon exit, you receive the tax-free Seva Nidhi Corpus Fund. However, based on performance and requirements, up to 25% of the batch are selected for permanent service, which then falls under regular service rules
