How to Apply/NTA UGC NET June 2026 Apply

Step 1:
Visit the official NTA website for CSIR NET at https://csirnet.nta.nic.in.
Step 2:
On the homepage, locate and click on the link that says “Joint CSIR UGC-NET June 2026 Registration” or “New Registration”.
Step 3:
 Read all the instructions carefully. Then, proceed to fill in your basic personal details like name, date of birth, email ID, and mobile number. Create a strong password and security question. An OTP will be sent to your registered mobile and email for verification.
Step 4:
After successful registration, log in using your newly created credentials.
Step 5:
Fill out the detailed application form. This includes your academic qualifications (percentage, year of passing, university name), your chosen subject from the five available, and your preferred exam city.
Step 6:
Upload the required documents.
 Ensure all scanned copies meet the prescribed specifications (size and format). You will need:
A recent passport-size photograph (between 10 KB to 200 KB, in JPG/JPEG format).
Your signature (between 4 KB to 30 KB, in JPG/JPEG format).
(Optional) A valid category certificate (if applicable).
Step 7: 
Pay the application fee 
online using a Debit Card, Credit Card, Net Banking, or UPI. After successful payment, a confirmation message will be displayed.
Step 8:
After payment, download and save the confirmation page or the completed application form. Keep a printed copy for future reference

Part A (General Aptitude):
 This section is common to all subjects and tests your logical reasoning, quantitative aptitude, data interpretation, and general science awareness.

Pay Scale/NTA UGC NET June 2026 Apply

Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) Stipend:
First two years: ₹31,000 per month.
Next three years (as SRF): ₹35,000 per month.
House Rent Allowance (HRA): As per government norms (27% for Metro cities, 18% for Tier 2, 9% for others).
Contingency Grant: ₹20,000 per year for expenses like books, conferences, etc.
Leave Benefits: 30 days annual leave.
The fellowship is tenable for up to 5 years.
Assistant Professor: 
No fixed stipend is provided for simply qualifying. The position comes under the 7th Pay Commission (Level 10) with a starting basic pay of around ₹57,700, plus allowances, depending on the university or college regulations. However, qualifying the NET is an essential prerequisite.
