Step 1: Visit the Official Website
Go to the official UPSSSC website: upsssc.gov.in
Step 2: Access the Application Link
On the homepage, look for the “Live Advertisement” or “Notifications” section. Find the link for “Advt. No. 06-Exam/2026: Technical Assistant Group-C (AGTA) Main Examination 2026” and click on it
Step 3: Login with PET Credentials
You will be redirected to a login page. Use your UPSSSC PET 2025 Registration Number and the OTP sent to your registered mobile number or email ID to log in
Step 4: Fill the Application Form
The system will auto-populate some basic details from your PET registration. You will need to:
Verify all personal details (Name, Father’s Name, Date of Birth).
Enter your educational qualification details (Degree, University, Year of Passing).
Select your category (General, OBC, SC, ST, EWS)
Step 5: Upload Documents
Photograph & Signature:
 Upload a recent passport-sized photograph and your signature. The specifications will be mentioned in the notification. In many cases, these are auto-populated from your PET registration
Documents: 
Keep scanned copies of your mark sheets, degree certificates, and category certificates (if applicable) ready for verification
Step 6: Pay the Application Fee
Pay the application fee of ₹25/- using your preferred online payment method (Debit Card, Credit Card, Net Banking, UPI, or SBI E-Challan)
Step 7: Final Submit and Print
After successful payment, review all the details one last time. Submit the application form. Once submitted, download and print a copy of the final application form and the fee payment receipt for your future reference

Selection Process and Examination Phases/UPSSSC Technical Assistant 2026

Phase 1: Shortlisting based on PET 2025 Score
The first stage is a screening process. UPSSSC will shortlist candidates for the main written examination based on their normalized scores in the Preliminary Eligibility Test (PET) 2025. Up to 15 times the number of vacancies (category-wise) will be shortlisted. Candidates with zero or negative scores in PET will not be considered
Phase 2: Main Written Examination
The shortlisted candidates will be called to appear for the main written examination. This is the decisive stage of the selection process. The details of the exam pattern and syllabus are discussed in the next section.
Phase 3: Document Verification (DV)
Candidates who successfully qualify in the written examination will be called for document verification. In this stage, all original documents (educational certificates, age proof, caste certificate, PET scorecard, etc.) will be verified. Failure to produce valid documents will lead to the cancellation of candidature

Pay Scale/UPSSSC Technical Assistant 2026

Selected candidates for the Technical Assistant Group C post will enjoy a handsome salary along with other government allowances. The pay scale is as per the 7th Pay Commission
Pay Level: Level 4
Pay Scale: Rs. 25,500/- to Rs. 81,100/- per month
In addition to the basic pay, candidates are entitled to various allowances such as Dearness Allowance (DA), House Rent Allowance (HRA), Travel Allowance (TA), and other benefits as per government rules.
